Personal Statement

My motivation for achievement was instilled very early in my life with the support and encouragement of my family and dedicated teachers. Striving to be independent, self motivated, ethical and to lead by example has been an essential ingredient in my upbringing.

Such inspiration led me to finish second top in the nation in Secondary Education finals and then fifth top graduate in my class of 760 students in Medical School.

After graduating from Medical School at Damascus University in Syria, my ambition towards higher and more superior training drove me to come to the States. During my years of training at Frankford Hospital Indiana University and the University of Texas in San Antonio, I was honored to work alongside, and learn from excellent physicians role models who were great clinicians dedicated to providing the best possible care to their patients.

I look forward to serving the Westover Hills/San Antonio community with the most up-to-date care in gastroenterology.
